Efforts to lessen or stop greenhouse gas emissions, which are the main contributor to global warming and climate change, are referred to as- Climate Change Mitigation. There are numerous methods for reducing climate change-
Renewable Energy: Usage of geothermal, hydro, solar, and other renewable energy sources instead of conventional ones has the possibility to cut greenhouse gas emissions immensely.
Energy Conservation: Increasing energy efficiency in buildings, vehicles, and industry can lower energy demand as well as, lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
Carbon Capture and Storage: This practice can stop carbon dioxide emissions from factories, power plants, and other industrial operations etc. from entering the atmosphere.
Forest Conservation: Protection and restoration of forests can significantly aid in the absorption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Sustainable Agriculture: Modes of agriculture which is sustainable can lower greenhouse gas emissions by adopting techniques like less tillage, better soil health, and organic fertilizers.
Waste Reduction: Reducing garbage and enhancing waste management can stop landfills from emitting methane.
