The announcement by the Goan government of the first state-level Climate Finance Facility in India, in association with the World Bank, to provide financial support for the execution of the SAPCC and Clean Energy Roadmap during the India Climate and Development Partners’ Meet in Goa, is a historic day for the state. The Goan government entered into a few memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with SIDBI, NABARD, and PFC in order to meet the state’s funding requirements for both adaptation and mitigation initiatives. The Celestial Earth is honoured to have contributed in every step of the background development and technical research and modelling involved in establishing India’s first Climate Fund Facility in Goa. TCE is overjoyed that the long journey with the Govt of Goa finally sees the light of the day.
